Getting started with adding TikTok text

TikTok is very user-friendly. Once you’ve downloaded the app and signed up for an account, it’s time to get started on your first video and learn how to add text to it:

  • On your profile page tap on the ‘+’ icon to create your first video.
  • You’ll see that there are plenty of options to explore here, like filters and timer speeds. Adjust as you like, until you find the settings you’re ready to work with.

  • Once finished, you can start to add all the extras, including music

  • There are various font styles, not too dissimilar to Instagram. This includes Classic and Handwriting fonts and more, along with a host of customizable colors.

  • Go ahead and start writing the text for your videos and press ‘done’ once complete.
  • Next, you can make words large or small and tilted to any angle by using two fingers (the same way you zoom in and out on an iPhone).
  • Once you’re happy with your video, press ‘next’ and fill in the details. You’re all set!
