Promo Videos For Musicians And Artists
As a musician or artist, a good quality promo video can be just as important to your brand as the music you create.
After all, a promo video can help you capture your target audience’s attention, which then gives you the perfect opportunity to get your art in front of the right people.
Below, we’ll be taking a look at 2 awesome promo videos in the music industry, what they did right, and a few promo marketing video ideas to help you get started.
Let’s take a look!
Promo Video Ideas For The Music Industry
First off, we have a promo video from a band called Mansfield Avenue.
Although the video is a bit lengthier, coming in somewhere near 4 and a half minutes, each second of this video is extremely fun to watch, highly engaging, and entertaining.
The band chose to make their promo video of themselves in action, which starts out with them playing a popular, upbeat cover song that practically makes you want to dance along.
However, rather than simply playing the full song in its entirety, about halfway through, the band suddenly shifts their sound to playing another popular cover.
And then, they switch it up again, and then yet again to several other popular cover songs, which isn’t only attention-grabbing, but it also helps give the viewer a much better idea of the band’s style and range.
Overall, this video is a very basic music promo video.
But the band truly made an effort in creativity, which ensures that the entire video is unique, exciting, entertaining from start to finish.
Video Promo Marketing For Artists And Musicians
Next up, we have the promo video for Coachella’s 2019 festival.
Obviously, Coachella is one of the biggest music events that takes place in North America.
Therefore, you can be certain that there’s going to be a lot going on in their promo video.
In fact, throughout the entire video, the viewer is bombarded with shots of festival go-ers dancing and having fun, live shots of the artists and performers on stage, as well as a couple of aerial shots of the entire venue, which works to illustrate the truly massive size of the event.
What’s good to note from this video is that the creators used zero dialogue. However, they still manage to convey a lot of information about what you can expect from the event.
Overall, this video isn’t quite as fun or creative as our first example.
But there are, nonetheless, still quite a few great promo video tips that can be pulled from it.
So make sure to take a few notes, put on your thinking cap, and then get to work creating the best promo video possible for your music brand.
