It only takes a maximum of 6 simple steps to create a video ad from start to finish using Boosted.
1. Decide on a Template or Develop Your Own Design
Log into the Boosted app and you will enter the “Discovery” page.
If you wouldn’t exactly call yourself a graphic designer (no judgment here), simply choose from our collection of pre-made templates organized by industry.
Each template has been expertly designed to attract attention and engagement. It will feature premium stock imagery and only require minor tweaking before you can export it to social media.
2. Choose Your Orientation
Want to publish your video ad on Instagram Reels or Stories, Tik Tok, or Snapchat? Click the portrait aspect ratio from the three little icons at the top of the editor screen.
Likewise, you can click the square or landscape mode for Instagram feed posts or videos for YouTube, Facebook, or LinkedIn.
Your content will automatically adjust according to the new dimensions for optimal performance on your chosen social media platform.
3. Add or Subtract Frames
Figure out how long you’d like your video ad to be in line with social media best practices.
Then use the plus and minus icons at the bottom of the screen to increase the number of frames and extend the video length accordingly.
Prefer to keep the length as it is in a certain template? Not to worry—you can skip this step!
4. Replace or Upload Your Own Imagery
You may decide that you don’t like a particular image in a frame of your video ad template—and that’s okay. You can replace it quickly and easily.
Just click on the image in question and you’ll notice the “Adjust Media” box pop up. Click “Replace” to bring up Boosted’s built-in stock library. You can then use the search bar to find the footage that makes you smile instead of frown.
As another option, you can integrate your own footage from your files by clicking the “My Uploads” tab. You can also filter it to align with your brand aesthetic from the “Adjust Media” box. Simple.
5. Make Your Edits
Now it’s time to customize the rest of your video ad so that every element coordinates with your visual brand identity and campaign goals.
Use the left-hand menu in the editor screen to play around with:
- Fonts — select different fonts from Boosted’s fonts library
- Colors — experiment with various suggested color palettes or create your own
- Music — choose a song from Boosted’s music library or upload your own sound clip
In terms of text, you can click on each piece directly to amend it. You can then add more text or emojis using the little “T” icon on the right-hand side of your frame.
Additionally, you can replace the logo icon with your brand’s logo in just a couple of clicks.
6. Export and Upload
Once all your edits have been made, you can export your video using the blue button in the top left-hand corner. It will then download directly to your files in no time at all.
You can even repurpose the same video for an alternative social media channel by changing the orientation and re-exporting.
If you don’t want to re-export right then and there, you can go back to your video at a later date. Just visit the “My Projects” section of the app.
Lastly, all that’s left to do is upload your video ad from your files to social media.
